July 11 every year is observed universally as World Population
Day, which seeks to create awareness on the urgency and importance of
population issues, particularly as it affects our environment and development.
Africa’s population is today estimated at about 1.2billion and by
2050, it is projected that the bulk of the world's population growth will take
place in Africa; with about 1.3billion people.
It means that we are most likely to have more people in Africa who
are poor, hungry, unemployed and frustrated. And, the greatest consequences of
all these problems is that, a greater number of these people are most likely to
suffer from depression, high blood pressure/hypertension and other chronic
diseases that are stress induced.
That is why, when most people look at Africa today, there are two
very strong but opposite images that are very glaring: unemployment, disease, poverty,
insecurity; a place where nothing works and not conducive to live. There are
also others who see these problems in Africa as great and massive opportunities.
This is the reality and that is why it’s up to you to decide how
you want your future to be. Perhaps you are already beginning to be overwhelmed
by these problems and now desperately searching for a way out but the problem
is that, you don’t just know “how” to go about it. I have some good news to
share with you.
The major reason why so many people are complaining in Africa
today is because they do not have the eyes to identify opportunities. Problems are
what entrepreneurs perceive as opportunities. But other people do not see it
that way.
Majority of our youths and young adults are out there wasting away
while waiting for that non existing government job. Their story is like that of
the impotent man by the pool of Bethesda as recorded in the bible (John 5:1-7).
To them “opportunity” means when a company or a government agency advertises
for a vacancy. You will agree with me that the government or corporate organizations
do not have such vacancies daily. It’s usually once in a while. How long do you
intend to keep waiting?
Sir Richard Branson, the famous Business Magnate, investor and
founder of the Virgin Group, said, “Business opportunities are like buses;
there's always another one coming.” Today, there is an emerging job/business opportunities
that surround us; very few people are already making huge amounts of money from
it but so many people are not aware of it. These opportunities are readily
available everyday (24/7) and they are all around us.
Just this last month (June, 2017) a young Ghanaian medical doctor,
who joined this business in 2015 is already earning about N18, 000,000 (eighteen
million naira) monthly. We have several other people here in Nigeria earning
between N435, 000 to about N2.7million monthly.
Hello, don’t be carried away by the figures because, if you
